Next week I will be heading down south to Charleston, SC to celebrate my birthday! This is my first time visiting the charming southern city and I am beyond ecstatic! I have been obsessed with Charleston for the past few years and have been dying to visit. Finally my wish is coming true! There is a very good chance I may never come back to New York. I think I am going to fall even more in love with the city and move there, or so everyone tells me. I already do fit in– people here, upon meeting them, think I have a southern accent. Which is news to me….
Since this is my first visit I really do not know where to go or what to see. I have been given lots of suggestions on where to eat, and Husk seems to be the most popular. One thing I have learned so far about Charleston is that getting a reservation is harder than it is here in New York. Ugh. I am sure there are plenty of amazing restaurants that we can stumbled upon, so I am not too worried. For sightseeing I want to see all of the beautiful historic plantations, cross the Ravenel bridge, walk through the city market, shop along King St. and see Patricia’s (from Southern Charm) house. My hotel offers sailing lessons, which I would love to do if we have time (and if not now, than in the future).
One thing I do have is my packing list. I have been shopping like crazy. It is going to be hot and humid there, very humid. A gal needs to stay cool and cute at the same time. I already know I am going to over pack. Can you blame me? I am going to the most charming city!

You will have a blast in Charleston! I was just there a couple weeks ago for a campaign and it’s such a beautiful and fun city with so much to do! And yes, HUSK is SO good! Have a blast!
