Last night I had my first tennis lesson!! I had so much fun playing and learning new skills! But do not call me Serena Williams just yet, I have a lot more to learn and master. Since tennis is on my mind this outfit came together to represent my new found sport (get it? I look like a tennis ball…..).  Definitely more of a spectator look.  Anyway, green is not a color I usually wear, if at all. It is not that I do not like the color nor do I think I look bad in it, I just prefer blues, pinks, whites, and black.

When I saw this top I wanted it for everyday wear in the summer. Perfect for all of the hot days that we are currently having. This top also comes in blue but I thought why not walk on the wild side and buy it in green.  And I am glad I did! It is a nice fresher from my standard blues and whites. I have worn it with white shorts, denim shorts, and this denim skirt.

So back to my tennis skills. I used to take lessons when I was little, and my dad played tennis all through college, so I am familiar with the sport. I always enjoyed playing and watching tennis, but it was too hot to run around chasing a ball for my taste. I understand the majority of the game and a few skills……..but lets just say 8th Ave. is currently swarmed with an unusual amount of tennis balls (the court is on the roof of the club). Still I told my instructor I am the next Serena Williams, which he laughed at, but little does he know I was not kidding…….So My skills might be fault, but at least my outfit is on (match) point.
