This past Thursday my friend, who is currently living in Boston, was in town for a few days. One of the many fun things we did was visit the Glossier Showroom on Lafayette street. I mentioned this during Friday’s Simply Smitten—  I have been following Into The Gloss and knew of Glossier, but have never tried their products. My friend is a religious Glossier shopper, so she was dying to see the showroom.

The showroom is so picturesque with girly decor and products perfectly assembled everywhere. I snapped a view photos for Insta Stories. But besides the picture perfect store, the whole idea of the showroom is to try their products. I mean every item was on display to be tested. A beauty lover’s dream come true! My friend took me around to show me what products she loves the most. She basically has all of their products. Talk about obsessed! I knew from my pre-visit online research I wanted to look at serums, masks, and maybe a makeup product or two.  I was also very excited about the price point being affordable! We all know that beauty and skincare products are so pricey. One bottle of serum can cost $75-$100, Glossier’s serum cost $28. Talk about a no brainer.

I ended up buying this green mask (and love it), this serum (which I have used twice a day since), and this cloud paint blush. After using their products for a few days I am now a big fan. I want to add this to my collection because, you know, my face is evaporating.…….. eye roll.

For those of you who are new to Glossier and never heard of it, first you need to know about Emily Weiss. Four years ago Emily started a beauty blog called Into The Gloss. It was a platform for women to look into the beauty secrets of celebrities and models. Now it is one of the biggest online destinations for beauty buffs like us. After the success of Into The Gloss, Emily decided to create her own line of makeup and skin care products in 2014. A line for the everyday woman with real experiences. An idea that makeup and skincare products do not live on you, they live with you. So you don’t feel like you have caked on makeup. It is all about making beauty fun for everyone, not complicated. That is what I like about the line. I have no idea how to contour nor do I care to, I am a minimalist when it comes to makeup. When I tried on Glossier’s cloud paint blush, I loved how easily it blended into my skin making it look like I have some on, but in a natural way (especially since I have so many freckles on my face).

Glossier is a brand inspired by real life, real people, and real experiences.
