Is there anything better than laying by the pool on a sunny day, sitting on your porch at sunset, or locking yourself in your room all day getting lost in a really good book during summer? I enjoy reading all year round, but there is something about leisurely reading a can’t-put-down book that makes summer so much sweeter. I just finished Me Before You and Big Magic (both I highly recommend) and now need a new book, or six, for the summer. Here is what is currently on my reading list.

books

The Nest: About a dysfunctional New York family, the Plumb siblings lives change through their inheritance in a hilarious, yet heartwarming story.

The Singles Game: Charlotte makes a deal with her infamous tennis coach where she then finds herself immersed into Hollywood fame.

Lilac Girls: Inspired by a World War II heroine.  Three girls with separate lives are completely changed when Hitler invades Poland. Through love, friendship and justice, their lives cross paths  as they try to survive the war.

The After PartyJoan is the epitome of glamour and is the center of the social world of Texas.

First Comes Love: Emily Giffin’s newest book about two sister’s who lean on each other during difficult times.

Sweet bitter:  Tess is newly immersed in the New York Restaurant scene as she learns to survive in this industry through knowledge, love, and life’s challenges.
